Six Northeast Georgia counties could see snowfall Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.
A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for Lumpkin, White, Towns, Union, Fannin and Gilmer counties from 8 p.m. Monday night until 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Snow accumulation likely won't exceed one inch, according to the warning, though areas of higher elevation could see up to two inches.
"A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities," the warning states.
Temperatures are expected to be below freezing throughout most of the night, reaching the mid- to upper-30s by mid-morning Tuesday.
