The City of Cornelia has closed part of a main route into downtown until further notice for infrastructure improvements.
Level Grove Road is closed to through traffic from Wayside Street to Hoyt Street to allow construction of a sidewalk along Level Grove Road.
The city announced the closure at 5 p.m. Monday, asking motorists to avoid the area if possible. Those who must travel in the area are asked to exercise caution and follow the detour signs that are in place.
