Ralston leads Dogs into fourth after one round In Mexico

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico — The No. 5-ranked Georgia men’s golf team stands fourth after one round of the Querencia Cabo Collegiate.

On Sunday, the Bulldogs fired a 3-under-par 281 and they are eight shots behind co-leaders Oklahoma State and Texas (11-under 273). Wake Forest is third at 7-under 277, with the Bulldogs and Baylor tied at 3-under 281.

Freshman Spencer Ralston paced the Bulldogs on Sunday as he fired a 3-under 68. Ralston is seventh individually, three shy of Wake Forest’s Paul McBride (6-under 65).  Senior Greyson Sigg is 16th at 1-under 70.

Georgia also counted an even-par 71 from sophomore Tye Waller and a 1-over 72 from sophomore Jack Larkin Jr. Senior Jaime Lopez Rivarola had the Bulldogs’ throw-out score of 4-over 75.

The Querencia Cabo Collegiate will continue on Monday and will conclude on Tuesday with 11 a.m. shotgun starts each day. Live results can be found at Golfstat.com.​
