A Lula man is in jail after investigators said a domestic dispute resulted in charges of aggravated assault and cruelty to children.
Christopher Andrew Pendley, 34, of Lula, allegedly choked an adult woman in front of a 12-year-old child, according to Hall County Sheriff Lt. Scott Ware.
"He placed his hands around the victim's neck in an attempt to strangle her," Ware said. "It was an attempt to strangle her."
Pendley is also being held on a probation violation related to simple battery involving the same victim, according to Ware.
Deputies arrested Pendley Thursday at the intersection of Main and Cobb streets in Lula.
