RABBITTOWN — The East Hall wrestling team had a solid weekend sweeping a tri-match at home and then getting a podium-finish in the annual Arrowhead Invitational.

On Saturday in the Arrowhead tournment at Stephens County, East Hall finished second in the 12-team field made up of teams from Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The Vikings put six wrestlers in the finals and captured three titles.

Drew Highfield won the 132-pound weight class, James Stoudenmire took the title at 145, and Blake Nix won the 170 title. Ethan Powell finished second at 106, Luis Garcia was second at 120, and Mike Woods was the runner-up at 152. Alex Williams finished fourth at 126.

The Vikings will be back in action on Tuesday playing host to the East Hall Christmas Clash.
