OAKWOOD — The West Hall boys basketball team pushed past Habersham Central, 58-53 on Friday in Oakwood.
Noah Edmondson scored 17 points for the Spartans, while Tae Reid added 11. Braden Martin also scored 9 points in the win.
Jeremiah Prather, Dee Buffington, and Hunter Rainey provided solid defensive efforts for the Spartans.

Drew Cottrell scored 16 points, while Adam Cottrell added 14 points for the Lions (3-3, 2-0 Region 8-A) in Friday's region win. Arturo Varela also scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, and Holden Cooper scored 9 points. Jack Blackburn chipped in with 8 points and 9 assists.
Lakeview will play host to East Jackson at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Jasper Gisbon scored 16 points and Jacob Radeker added 9 in the Dragons' win on Friday.
It was the region opener for Jefferson (4-5, 1-0 Region 8-AAAA).
The Dragons take on Griffin at 4 p.m. Monday at Loganville.
