Sumner Pirkle, representing the Gainesville Jaycees, was crowned Belle of the Ball at Saturday night's Junior Service League Charity Ball.
The annual event, sponsored by the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County, was held at the Chattahoochee Country Club. There were six other Belle of the Ball candidates this year: Ashley Filson, Madeleine Cook, Abby Alexander, Abby Gopfert, Nicole Pierce, and Gracie Caudell.
Pirkle is the daughter of Andy and Jennifer Pirkle.
This year's candidates raised raised $145,000 for League charities, according to the League.
