CLEVELAND — A White County School bus was struck in the rear while stopped to unload children on Pless Road east of Cleveland Friday afternoon.

“The White County School bus was northbound on Pless Road, stopped to unload children,” according to Cpl. Luke Mize of Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville. “Vehicle 1 [the other vehicle] was traveling north and struck the school bus in the rear.”

There were children on the bus at the time of the collision, but no injuries were reported, according to Mize.

White County School Superintendent Dr. Jeff Wilson said the students were checked out by White County Emergency Medical Services personnel, then were taken home.

No details about the driver of the second vehicle, or that vehicle, were provided.
