Investigators probing weekend White County shooting

CLEVELAND — The White County Sheriff’s Office has released some basic details about a person who was shot early Sunday morning. 

On Sunday, Nov. 12, about 1:10 a.m., the White County Sheriff’s Office responded to 78 Cove Branch Drive off Town Creek Road regarding a gunshot wound to the head, according to information from Capt. Rick Kelley of WCSO.

Deputies and White County medical personnel arrived on scene and found Brian Scott Brass, 28, with a gunshot wound to the head, according to Kelley. Brass was immediately transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

According to Kelley, Brass was last reported in critical condition. 

White County Sheriff’s Office investigators and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating the incident.

The investigation is active and ongoing, according to Kelley, and no further details were provided.
