Braselton seeking applicants for town's development authority

Officials in Braselton are looking to fill a couple of spots of the Braselton Development Authority, following the departure of two of the board's seven members.

“One of our members was elected to the Town Council and another resigned due to business demands, so we have two vacancies to fill and recommend to the Town Council for official appointments,” said BDA Chairman Clay Eubanks in a statement.

The BDA "works to assure the long-term economic stability of Downtown Braselton by maintaining the small town character of the district and supporting the fundamentals that assure Braselton is a great place to live, work, play, invest, and do business," according to a mission statement on the town's website.

Board members must attend one meeting per month, usually at 11 a.m. on the second Thursday of the month.

Members must also dedicate "about 10 hours per month" to implementing projects in activities downtown.
