Caring Hands Ministries plans coat giveaway in Cleveland Saturday

By AccessWDUN staff

Caring Hands Ministries will hold its annual coat give away Saturday from 10:00-2:00 at Travis Chapel United Methodist Church in Cleveland.

“Americans Helping Americans is sending new coats again this year so that we can help children teens and adults in Northeast Georgia who need a coat and can't afford one. “ Caring Hands Ministries President Charles Fleming said. “Coats are for personal use only and may not be sold or traded” Fleming continued Children and teens all grow so there is a good chance that any child or teen getting a coat has one they have out grown. We encourage people to bring their clean gently used outgrown coats ad jackets to the give away to bless someone else.”

Most years the giveaway has included new blankets to give away too but this year there will be no blankets until after Christmas and donations of blankets and quilts are now being accepted. Blankets and quilts may be brought to Caring Hands Ministries office 6483 A Cleveland Highway in Clermont in the same building with Papa's Pizza or left at Byrd Mini Storage in Cleveland at 36 Canon Road and in Baldwin at 264 Charlie Davis Road or brought to Travis Chapel.
