By AccessWDUN staff

From the Class A Public bracket (Towns County and Commerce) to Class AAAAAAA, the area is well represented as high school football moves into its playoff season. With football in its waning weeks, basketball is ramping up and both are discussed in this week's edition of the Prep Talk podcast with AccessWDUN sports editor Morgan Lee and Game On's Katie B. Davis.

Beginning of show: Morgan and Katie B. go straight up fan-people on Towns County and the Indians totally deserve it

7-minute mark: A discussion of which high seed in the area has the toughest first-round matchup

10:30-minute mark: Preview of a few first-round matchups

  • Kell at Flowery Branch
  • Chattahoochee at Winder-Barrow
  • East Hall at Morgan County (with a side note on the kicking game for East Hall)
  • North Hall at Monroe-Area
  • West Hall at St. Pius

18-minute mark: Which of the two dominant area teas (Buford and Rabun County) have the toughest road to the semifinals/finals?

24-minute mark: Morgan and Katie B. start the roundball chatter (the regular season in basketball - for most teams - begins next week)

28-minute mark: A discussion of the lone cross country state champion from the area, North Hall's Devon Crow
