PODCAST: Hard Left Turn with Brandon Reed and Katie B. (11-7-17)

By AccessWDUN staff

With a win Sunday at Texas, Kevin Harvick punched his ticket to Homestead, joining Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch. Five other drivers - Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott and Jimmie Johnson - are still in contention for the fourth and final spot in the title race with one lap to go, if you will.

In this week's edition of the Hard Left Turn podcast, Around the Track editor Brandon Reed and Katie B. discuss:

Beginning of show: What was more important to Harvick, winning or besting the current mile-and-a-half king, Truex?

Three-minute mark: Truex was critical of Trevor Bayne for racing side-by-side with another lapped car, saying, "One of those deals where I think we'd (have) held (Harvick) off at a clean race track, but the 6 car's in the damn way every week, so it's pretty normal." Was Truex calling Bayne our justified or nah?

Nine-minute mark: Five drivers are vying for the final spot at Homestead, including Dawsonville's Chase Elliott, what do they have to do to make the title fight?

12:40-minute mark: Can Chase and his team pull anything together at Phoenix to make the championship round?

15- minute mark: What kind of race can be expected at Phoenix?
