South State Bank partners with Clarkesville Soup Kitchen

South State Bank has partnered with the reopened Clarkesville Soup Kitchen to help alleviate hunger in the Clarkesville community by making a $2,000 donation.

“The Clarkesville Soup Kitchen is a vital part of our community,” said Donna Taylor, South State Bank Clarkesville branch manager.  “The services it provides, including delivery of hot meals to the elderly, is much needed and we encourage other area businesses and residents to get involved.”

To volunteer or make a donation, contact Dan Barry at (706) 768-3341, Betty Jones at (706) 754-3973 or Jennifer Scott at (706) 510-9590.  You can also send donations made payable to The Clarkesville Soup Kitchen to P.O. Box 712, Clarkesville, GA 30523.  A GO-FUND-ME account has also been set up for online donations at http://www.gofundme.com/clarkesville-soup-kitchen.
