East Hall: W. Va woman charged with stealing lottery tickets from employer

A West Virginia woman is in the Hall County Jail for stealing over $6,000 worth of lottery tickets from the East Hall County store where she worked.

Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware said that Rachel Ann Grose, 23, stole the lottery tickets from the BP Store on White Sulphur Road on May 1.

"She was an employee for the store and following the theft went back to West Virginia for some time and then came back here and that's when she was arrested," said Ware.

The Princeton, W.Va, woman was arrested Thursday at a home in the 3200 block of Hall Street in Gainesville.

Grose's bond is set at $5,700 and her first court appearance is Friday.

She faces a felony count of theft by taking.
