GDOL to assist with career fair in Hall County on Nov. 9

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will be working with Lanier Technical College in Oakwood as the college hosts a large job fair on Thursday, Nov. 9.

More than 50 employers are expected to participate in the event, recruiting workers to fill a variety of job openings.  

The career fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the college, which is located at 2990 Landrum Education Dr. in Oakwood.

Those employers who have already registered to be part of the event include: 101 Mobility of Georgia, A.C.T. Home Care, Accurate Plastics and Mold Company, AMR Rural Metro, ASA Carlton, Ashley Furniture, BITZER US, BOS Staffing, Bright Horizons, Bright Star Care, Charter Spectrum Communications, Chief Fire Protection Company, Comfort Keepers, Complete Packaging Solutions, DEUTZ Corporation, Discovery Point Child Care, EMC Security, Etcon Employment Solutions, Evans Insulation Company, Faulkner Management-Zaxby’s, Frey Reglet, Gainesville Police Department and Lee Arrendale Prison.  

Also, Goodwill Industries, Hall County’s Sheriff’s Department, Horizon Construction Company, Innovative Circuits, KIK Custom Products, Kumon Math and Reading Center, Lanier Islands, Mall of Georgia Ford, Mansfield Oil, Martin Marietta Materials, Michael Hillman State Farm, Mincey Marble, Modern Woodmen of America, Mr. Handyman of Alpharetta, National Property Inspections, North Georgia Medical Transport, One Family Pediatrics, Panera Bread, Pilgrims of Gainesville, Platinum Geomatics, Quality Aircraft Tooling, Resource Manufacturing, SecurAmerica, Serenity Medical Health/Beauty, SKF USA, Sky Retail Service, Spa and Salon Anastasia and TruGreen Lawn Care.  

Job seekers interested in attending the expo may visit employgeorgia.com to create an account and upload, or prepare, a resume. Having an Employ Georgia account expedites the interview process, according to officials with GDOL. 

Applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes and dress business casual to improve their chances for employment.
