Some changes were recently announced for Gainesville Middle School.
Dr. Rose Prejean-Harris, the principal at GMS, will be going to work for the Atlanta Public School System.
According to Gainesville Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Williams, Harris has accepted a central office position in Atlanta. Her last day at GMS will be October 31.
Williams said Misty Freeman, the College and Career Readiness Director, will serve as the interim principal.
