Tadmore ES, Lanier Tech join forces to promote education

Tadmore Elementary School of Communication and Lanier Technical College are coming together to offer a new adult education program for the East Hall community.

 At an informational session hosted recently, Lanier Tech's Lauren Armour Pugh, Brenda Thomas, and Shannon Cole,detailed the mission of Lanier Tech’s Adult Education Program, which includes emphasis on English literacy and GED instruction .

After the session concluded, almost 100 people registered to participate in adult education classes offered at Tadmore.  

English Literacy classes for non-English speakers are also part of the curriculum. The following support will be offered for English Literacy classes at no cost:   classes for all levels of learners, awareness of the responsibilities and rights of citizens, improved speaking, writing, and listening skills, and pronunciation and usage of the English language.  Representatives of Lanier Tech will also be available to discuss technical education for participants who complete the GED Program. 

Volunteer instructors from the Tadmore staff and other community leaders will be leading the efforts.
