Gold Creek exec delivers relief supplies to hurricane-ravaged Texas coastal area

By AccessWDUN staff

The ravages of Hurricane Harvey had a personal effect on Colton Cuny, national sales manager for Gold Creek Foods, LLC of Gainesville and Dawsonville.  He is a native of Kingsville, Texas, a Gulf Coast town about fifty-five miles southwest of Corpus Christi.

Cuny and Gold Creek Foods CEO, Mark Sosebee, mobilized local resources and business partners to deliver relief supplies to families stricken by the hurricane.  Lynne Barber of Gold Creek served as the relief supply coordinator.

“With key business partners -- Carroll Daniel Construction, Syfan Logistics and Dawson County Schools -- we partnered with First United Methodist Church of Gainesville to fill and deliver two tractor-trailer loads to the Houston area.  I stayed for two days in the hard hit Rockport  and Port Aransas communities on the Gulf Coast south of Houston delivering supplies and cleaning up homes,” said Cuny.  “Much credit goes to folks whose names we don’t know, in terms of donating supplies and volunteering in the coastal area,” he added, “but we are deeply grateful to all.”
