One person died after being hit by a tractor trailer Monday night in Stephens County, authorities said.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m. on the Highway 17 bypass and Gumlog Road.
According to the Georgia State Patrol office, the incident scene took several hours to work as the tractor trailer had to be unloaded so that it could be moved.
Conditions that lead to the accident and the names of those involved have not been released.
