CLEVELAND — Despite big games for David Campbell and Christian Davis, the Bryan Lions defeated the Truett McConnell men's basketball team late, 72-68, Saturday afternoon in the Bear Cave.
The Bears and Lions went back and forth for the entire game, with neither team leading by more than 11 at any point during the game.
By the time the final horn sounded, the Lions had shot well over their season average behind the three-point line, shooting 54 percent on the day from deep.
Campbell had a game-high 25 points, while Davis added 19 points in the loss.
The Bears will jump out of league play for the final time on Monday as they head to Columbia International. Tip time is set for 7:30 p.m.
