RABBITTOWN — The East Hall boys basketball team held off Dawson County 85-84 on Saturday in Rabbittown.
The Vikings (11-6, 5-1 Region 7-AAA) led by as many as 20 before Dawson made a furious comeback, making 11 3-pointers in the second second-half.
East Hall was led by Mahki Brown with 19 points, while Luke Cooper scored 18. Sedrion Morse and Luke Holtzclaw also chipped in with 15 points apiece.
The Vikings will play North Hall in a pivotal region game on Tuesday at East Hall.
The East Hall boys also defeated Lumpkin County 70-63 on Friday in Dahlonega.
Luke Cooper led the Vikings (10-6, 4-1 Region 7-AAA) with 25 points, while Trevor Rider added 15 points. Sedrion Morse and Mahki Brown also scored 10 apiece.
