Boys basketball: Buford stuffs Johnson, 81-38

BUFORD — The Buford boys basketball team opened its new arena in style on Tuesday, taking out Johnson 81-38 in Buford.

Marcus Watson paced the Wolves, scoring 20 points and grabbing seven rebounds, while Tobi Obasanya scored 12. David Viti also added 11 points and eight rebounds, and Donell Nixon scored nine and provided four assists.

Buford finished 14 of 18 from the free throw line.

The Wolves jumped out to a 16-4 first quarter lead and never looked back.

Buford plays host to Cedar Shoals in a key region showdown on Friday.
