UPDATE: Third suspect arrested in Forsyth County death investigation

By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a body that was found in Forsyth County Thursday.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Sunday evening that they, along with help from the U.S. Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force and the Banks County Sheriff's Office, arrested 23-year-old Jimmie Lee Winkles at a home in Banks County.

The sheriff's office said they had been looking for Winkles since Friday, knowing that he was not in Forsyth County. Police say Winkles did not offer resistance in the arrest. He faces charges of aggravated assault and felony murder.

The case started when the sheriff's office said they were called by someone who spotted the body of 35-year-old David Eric Guice at an address on Odyssey Trail. The sheriff's office said they then launched an investigation and with the help of the Hall County Sheriff's Office SWAT team executed searches at homes in Forsyth County, Gainesville and Flowery Branch.

Those searches led to the arrests of 32-year-old Tonya Tidwell and 29-year-old Ryan Spark. Both are also facing charges of felony murder and aggravated assault and are being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center.

The sheriff's office said Guice's body has been taken to the GBI crime lab to determine the cause of his death. The investigation is ongoing.
