The body found in Lanier Lanier Thursday at Gainesville Marina has been identified as a 65-year-old Cobb County man, Hall County authorities said.
Richard Linton Beacham's body was discovered by a boater.
"Investigators believe Mr. Beacham accidentally fell off the dock adjacent to his boat and drowned," Hall County Sheriff's Deputy Stephen Wilbanks wrote in a press update.
The body has been taken to the Dekalb County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
