An assistant district attorney with the Northeastern Judicial Circuit recently received an award from the Council of Accountability Court Judges.
Clark Candler was recognized with the Star Award for his prosecution role in the circuit's accountability courts, particularly the drug and mental health courts, according to circuit District Attorney Lee Darragh.
"I am very proud of the Northeastern Judicial Circuit's District Attorney's Office's continued commitment to making our community safer by addressing the issues of drug addiction and mental illness in an humane and effective way," Clark said in a news release. "As leaders in the field of accountability courts I hope we can continue to shape the ways in which the criminal justice system continues to approve."
The Northeastern Judicial Circuit includes Hall and Dawson counties.
