Surveillance photos released in Tuesday bank robbery in Forsyth County

Authorities have released surveillance photos of a suspect who robbed a Forsyth County bank at gunpoint on Tuesday.

The alleged robber is a 35-40 year-old black man, between 6' and 6'2", and weighing between 200-220 pounds, according to Deputy Epifanio Rodriguez, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

The suspect was reportedly wearing a pantyhose mask, a construction hard hat, a neon yellow shirt and white tennis shoes during the incident.

The robbery happened at Foothills Community Bank on Bethelview Road around 12:30 p.m., and nobody was injured.

The suspect pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, but never fired any rounds, Rodriguez said; the suspect fled the scene in a 2006 Saturn Vue, which was believed to be stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
