The Mini-Stock division took center stage on Friday night at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina, and B.J. Thrasher drove into the spotlight.
Thrasher held off Chad Campbell to score the “Mini Stock Mania” feature victory for the four-cylinder racer division, beating out a stout field of 16 cars to record the win.
Campbell finished in second, with Ben Kay in third, Jeffrey Kummer in fourth and David Darnell in fifth.
Bailey Miles, Koleman Bryant, Mitchell Stone, Chase Morrison and Bobby Brock rounded out the top ten.
The BM Modified division also had a special night, as the open wheel modified racers held twin feature races. Chuck Mitchell beat out Jason McDowell for the win in the first feature, with Brandon Segars finishing in third, Austin Northcutt in fourth and Chad Stewart in fifth.
The winner’s order was reversed for the second feature, as McDowell edged out Mitchell for the win. Northcutt finished in third, with Stewart in fourth and Segars in fifth.
In other action, Shaun Mize scored the Super Limiteds victory, with Phillip Peters finishing in second, Steve Carver in third, Jacob York in fourth and Billy Brown in fifth.
Charlie Meinders was the winner in the Pure Stock V-6 feature. Chirs Meinders finished in second, with Buck Simmons third, Zack Meinders fourth and Darrell Meinders fifth.
Karl Moberg took the victory in the US Legends feature. Randy Gunton, Lee Jordan, Travis Ellison and Wes Sudduth rounded out the top five.
In the Front Wheel Drive features, Chris Harvell scored the win, with Scott Parker in second, Chad Redding in third, Casey Burkett in fourth and Michael Posey in fifth.
Anderson Motor Speedway returns to action on Friday, Aug. 26, headlined by a pair of 40 lap features for the Late Model Stock Car division. Joining them on the card will be the BM Modifieds, Super Limiteds, Renegades, US Legends and Front Wheel Drives.
