OAKWOOD — The Johnson softball team took its version of the "Battle of Oakwood" on Tuesday, taking out West Hall 12-4 at Johnson.
Cassie Morgan picked up the win in the circle, tossing 5 complete innings and striking out two batters for the Lady Knights.
Johnson racked up 14 hits -- in fact all nine starting players hit safely, including seniors Emely Avitia, Caitlyn Wilson, Victoria Martin and Morgan. Ashlin Thurmond, Ashley Thomas, Aaliyah Stringer, Veronica Nash and Megan Braswell also produced hits for the Lady Knights.
Johnson will play host to Gainesville at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
