HOSCHTON — The Gainesville girls volleyball team split a tri-match Tuesday night at Mill Creek.
The Lady Red Elephants opened night with a tough loss to host Mill Creek 25-20, 25-21 and then rebounded with a win over Lakeview Academy 25-18, 25-17.
Sydney King Gainesville (5-7) with 21 digs. Savannah Roys had five aces, 18 assists, 16 kills, and 13 digs, Abby Alexander added three aces and seven kills, and Tangi Miller added four kills for the Lady Red Elephants.
Anna Wylie contributed with six kills/, 2 1/2 blocks, and three digs, Camille Holcomb added two aces, 18 assists, and seven digs, Caroline Mercer had four aces and six digs, and Bessie Winston added four kills for Gainesville.
The Lady Red Elephants next will play host to a tri-match with Athens Academy and Clarke Central on Thursday.
