Police: Man dies following restaurant shooting

CANTON, Ga. (AP) Police say a man died following a shooting at a Canton restaurant.

The Canton Police Department said in a statement that the incident began Thursday night after the suspect approached the victim inside the restaurant and shot him.

Police responded to the incident and located and arrested the suspect near the restaurant.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not identified the victim or the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
