FLOWERY BRANCH — The Atlanta Falcons have signed tight end Arthur Lynch and wide receiver Corey Washington. Also, safety Charles Godfrey announces his retirement from the NFL.
Lynch was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round (155th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins out of Georgia. Last season, he was signed to the Denver Broncos practice squad.
Washington was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Arizona Cardinals following the 2014 NFL Draft out of Newberry College. He was then signed by the New York Giants and played in 14 games during his rookie season, recording five receptions for 52 yards.
Godfrey was originally selected by the Carolina Panthers in the third round (67th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft out of Iowa. Godfrey was signed by the Falcons in 2014 and played in five games for the team that season. In 2015, Godfrey played in eight games for Atlanta and recorded 12 total tackles, a forced fumble, and one pass defensed.
Following these moves the roster stands at 88 men.
