SYLVANIA, Ga. - Chris Ferguson drove to the lead of Saturday night’s Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series race at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Ga., and went on to score his first career series victory.
Ferguson, of Mt. Holly, North Carolina took the lead away from Brent Dixon and Dennis Franklin to lead the remaining 18 laps en route to the win and a $5,300 payday.
The win made Ferguson the fifth different winner in five races to that point in the 2016 series season.
Dixon, of Elberton, Georgia, held on to finish second, with Franklin in third, Toccoa, Georgia’s Casey Roberts in fourth and Donald Bradsher in fifth.
Ivedent Lloyd, Jr., Devin Gilpin, Ricky Weiss, Kenny Collins and Shanon Buckingham rounded out the top ten.
