Four people charged when North Georgia Drug Task Force seizes narcotics, weapons

A Colbert man and three Athens residents are facing felony charges after a search in Colbert on Saturday.

The North Georgia Drug Task Force and Madison County Sheriff's Office conducted the search at a Hardman Morris Road address.

Officers seized illegal drugs worth approximately $12,000.00 and multiple weapons. Drugs located included powder cocaine, crack cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana. Several firearms also were seized.  

Stantavious Deonta Maxwell, 24, Colbert, was arrested on multiple felony narcotics offenses and a weapons charge. 

Jamal Rashad Stone, 28, and Gregory Lanier Morton, 35, both of Athens, also were charged with multiple felony weapons and drug-related offenses. 

Terinesha Marchae Wise, 21, Athens was charged with reckless conduct and obstruction of law enforcement officers.

The investigation is continuing.
