A Demorest man was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center after his motorcycle was struck by a truck in Habersham County Friday night.
Brent Darst, 45, suffered lower extremity injuries in the collision, which occurred on Ga. 365 at Crane Mill Road near Alto, said Sr. Trooper Jason Stephens of Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa.
Stephens said Darst's 2012 Harley-Davidson was traveling north in the right lane when a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jose Arguelles, 20, of Alto, pulled into its path, striking the motorcycle in its side.
Arguelles was cited for failure to yield right of way.
The right northbound lane of Ga. 365 for shut down for a time as a result of the wreck, Stephens said.
Stephens said speed, alcohol and drugs were not factors in the wreck, which was reported at 6:48 p.m.
