GAINESVILLE — Stephens County one-upped North Hall at the plate on Friday, as the Indians picked up an 11-9 win in Gainesville.
The Trojans (11-5, 6-1 Region 8-AAAA) suffered their first region setback of the campaign despite plenty of impressive performances, including Fowler Brooks, who finished 3 for 4 with three RBI and a double.
Caleb Clark also went 2 for 2 with two doubles and a run scored, while Trent Mongero finished 2 for 3 with two RBI and a run scored. Jake Chester also cranked a home run, while Reece Olson provided a double and two RBI. Jackson Latty also drove in a run, and Drew Atha had a hit and scored two runs.
North Hall will look to even the season series on Monday at Stephens County in Toccoa.
