Let the battle for seeding begin.
Area regions have determined their state tournament participants; starting today those teams will duke it out for seeding and a shot at region glory -- except in Region 8-A, where the Class A playoff structure that only region champs get automatic state berths (the rest being determined by the power index ratings).
Below is the complete schedule for semifinal contests in Regions 8-AAAAA, 8-AAAA, 7-AAA, 8-AA and 8-A. Championship and third place contests will take place at the same venues on Saturday.
