Oakwood Police seek help identifying assault, theft suspects

Oakwood Police are hoping the public will be able to identify a man and two women accused in a Christmas Eve assault and theft at a local liquor store.

The male suspect (see photo) entered Lanier Package on McEver Road around 2:40 p.m., grabbed a bottle of tequila and tried to hide it in his sweat pants, according Todd Templeton, Oakwood Police investigator.

"The store owner confronted the suspects about the theft and was physically assaulted by the male suspect," said Templeton in a news release.

The trio fled the scene in a gold Honda Accord.

The store owner was not seriously injured, according to Templeton.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Templeton at (770) 534-2364.
