UPDATED: Armed suspect captured following Braselton home robbery

BRASELTON - Hall County Sheriff's deputies were called to the 5300 block of Thompson Mill Road Tuesday regarding a reported armed robbery.
 
Deputies were informed that a white male in his 20's had entered the home and confronted an elderly resident with a handgun, demanding her purse.
 
She complied and the suspect fled into a nearby wooded area..
 
Hall County Deputy Steven Wilbanks said deputies quickly established a perimeter and deployed a K9 team, locating the suspect a short time later without further incident.
 
Brandon James Allison, 25, was taken to the Hall County Jail and has been charged with the following crimes.
  • Burglary (2)
  • Armed robbery
  • Aggravated assault
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Elder abuse
  • Entering auto
  • Criminal damage to property
  • Theft by taking
 
Wilbanks said investigators determined Allison had also illegally entered multiple vehicles at nearby residences.
 
Additional charges may be pending, according to Wilbanks, and at the time of the incident Allison possibly had outstanding arrest warrants from Hall, White and Jackson counties.
