GAINESVILLE — Greater Atlanta Christian held North Hall to just three third quarter points en route to a 52-45 victory in the Region 7-AAA openers for both teams.
The Trojans (3-3, 0-1 Region 7-AAA) led 15-14 after the first quarter but GAC (4-1, 1-0) rallied to take a 31-29 lead into halftime. The Spartans took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring North Hall 15-3 in the period -- though North Hall continued to battle to stay within striking distance.
Evan Easton led North Hall with 17 points. Alden Lewallen added 13 points for the Trojans.
North Hall will play host to East Hall on Friday in another Region 7-AAA battle.
