Girls basketball: Dawson County snaps losing streak

DAWSONVILLE — The Dawson County girls snapped their five-game losing streak to start the season with a 75-37 win over White County Saturday at home.

The Lady Tigers (1-5) opened with a 21-12 lead in the first quarter and used a 15-3 second quarter to blow the game open. They took a 48-26 lead into the fourth quarter.

Abi Chatham had 19 points to lead Dawson County. Kaylee Sticker added 17, and Calli Watson had 9 for the Lady Tigers.

Dawson County will be back in action on Tuesday at home against Rabun County.
