A Gainesville man was charged with trafficking methamphetamine this week after drug agents said they seized about 43 grams of the drug.
William Edward Dean, 53, was arrested by Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad agents on Tuesday, according to Hall County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Paul House. It happened on Commander Drive near Lee Land Road.
"Pursuant to the investigation, MANS Agents located approximately 43 grams of methamphetamine to include baggies, scales, packaging material, and paraphernalia," House wrote in a media release.
The total street value of the meth. was $4840, according to House.
Dean was booked into the Hall County Jail on trafficking and possession of meth. with intent to distribute charges.
