LAHAINA, Hawai’i — The Georgia men’s golf team came in second in the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic on Sunday to complete the fall portion of its schedule.

Runners-up at Royal Ka’anapali for the second straight year, the Bulldogs were one shot in back of Clemson. Georgia wound up at 25-under 827, including a final-round 7-under 277. The Tigers rode a 20-under 264 on Sunday to the team title at 26-under 826.

“Obviously, we’re disappointed in the outcome,” Georgia coach Chris Haack said. “We did not finish well today and that really cost us. It’s a tough pill to swallow right now, especially with it being so close, but we’ll learn from this and move forward. When we get back at it in the spring, we’ll have this experience as a reminder that every single shot matters.”

Senior Greyson Sigg paced the Bulldogs as he came in third at 12-under 201, including a final-round 3-under 68. Doc Redmon of Clemson took medalist honors at 15-under 198, followed by LSU’s Sam Burns at 13-under 200.

Freshman Spencer Ralston, from Gainesville, signed for a 3-under 68 to place eighth at 9-under 204. Junior Zach Healy placed 12th at 5-under 208 as he carded a 3-over 74 Sunday. Senior Jaime Lopez Rivarola (3-under 68) landed at 4-over 217, followed by freshman Trevor Phillips (2-over 73) at 7-over 220. Playing as an individual, sophomore David Mackey posted a final-round 1-over 72 and finished at 13-over 226.

The Bulldogs will return to action Feb. 19-21 in the Puerto Rico Classic.
