A storm drain replacement on Georgia 13 or Atlanta Highway will result in a detour both Monday and Tuesday in south Hall County.
Georgia Department of Transportation crews will do the work at Plainview Road.
"Drivers will need to plan ahead both Monday and Tuesday to use Thurmon Tanner Parkway so they won't be delayed," GDOT spokeswoman Katie Strickland said.
Strickland said the closure hours for Atlanta Highway are 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.
During the overnight hours Monday, Strickland said a gravel surface will be in place on 13 at Plainview.
"Motorists are advised to slow down and proceed with caution through the work area. Workers and heavy equipment will be in close proximity to the roadway," Strickland said.
Flaggers and advance warning message boards are expected to be staged at several intersections warning of the work.
