Piedmont's Haley Hixon has once again been honored as the volleyball defensive Player of the Week by the USA South Athletic Conference. This marks the third straight week the sophomore has earned the honor.
Hixon averaged over six digs per set over a 2-1 week for the Lady Lions who picked up wins against Division II Clark Atlanta and USA South West Division regular season champions Covenant College. Against the Scots, Hixon had a near season-best 30 digs in a 3-2 victory for the Lady Lions.
The USA South Athletic Conference announces its weekly honor roll each Monday and at least half of the teams in a sport must have competed within the previous week for honors to be awarded.
