As work continues on replacing the driving surface on Browns Bridge, the state Department of Transportation plans to close the bridge this weekend. This will be the second weekend in a row that the bridge has been closed. The bridge will be closed from 9:00 Friday night until 5:00 Monday morning.
GDOT officials say a clearly marked detour route will again direct traffic at the intersection of State Route 369 and State Route 53 and also at State Route 306.
The project is expected to be completed before the new year.
