By AccessWDUN staff

Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega Saturday announced that Jeanne VanGalder has been named the hospital’s new Chief Executive Officer.

VanGalder brings with her to the position over 33 years of experience in healthcare, 29 of which have been in management roles, according to a news release from the hospital. She is Board Certified in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and, prior to accepting this position, has served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Chestatee for the past three years.

“This is an exciting time for Chestatee Regional Hospital and I am proud to be a part of it,” says VanGalder. “We were recently recognized in the Georgia Trend Magazine as one of the Top 10 Small Hospitals in Georgia and we received excellent reviews from our recent Joint Commission Hospital Accreditation visit. Of course there are challenges. There will always be challenges, but I am confident that we will continue to overcome them. We work with some of the most loyal, dedicated people here at Chestatee and they are all committed to the success of this hospital and this community.”

The public is invited to a drop-by Meet and Greet for VanGalder next Friday, January 29, at 9:00 in Crown Mountain Café, located in the lower level of the hospital.
