The Chestatee softball team cruised past Monroe Area 10-2 on Thursday.
The Lady War Eagles (9-10, 3-0 Region 8-AAAA) pounded out 13 hits against Monroe, including a home run and 4 RBI for Hannah Jones, who finished the game 3 for 4 from the plate. Kenaya Lesley also finished 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, while Abby Zander went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI.
Becca ​Eddons also went 2 for 4, scoring 2 runs to help her own cause from the pitching circle. She earned the win, pitching a complete game -- 6 innings while astriking out 4 batters and yielding just three hits.
Chestatee will next take on Mountain View at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in Gainesville.
