Gainesville gang member arrested with $95K worth of meth

GAINESVILLE—A Gainesville man is behind bars after authorities confiscated $95,200 worth of methamphetamine and a loaded semi-automatic pistol during a traffic stop.

Lt. Scott Ware with the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) said the arrest of Christopher Lucious Jones, 29, and seizure of two pounds, two ounces of meth happened August 31 during a traffic stop.

"Mr. Jones is a documented member of the criminal street gang BOS, 'Bosses of Society.' He was stopped at a location in Hall County," said Ware.

Jones faces charges of trafficking meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and violation of parole.

Ware said more charges are expected against Jones, but no other arrests are anticipated.

Jones was booked into the Hall County Jail without incident.
