Eagles fall to Fellowship Christian in opener

GAINESVILLE — Big plays were the undoing for Riverside Military Academy in a 28-0 loss to Fellowship Christian Friday night in both teams’ season opener at Maginnis Field.

Fellowship Christian (1-0) scored once in each quarter and thwarted several scoring opportunities for the Eagles.

The Eagles (0-1) get manage 175 total yards of offense. Sean Allison was 9-of-16 passing for 62 yards. 

Kaseem Duke got most of the action out of the backfield for RMA with 11 carries for 38 yards. Ricky Jones led the eagles with 39 yards rushing, which came on a fake punt for a first down deep in the Paladins territory. But the Eagles could not capitalize.

Javon Thompson had four catches for 39 yards receiving.
